Our Story & Mission
Milton's Place, PLLC was born as a flower from the ashes of grief after the devastating passing of my brother, Milton. His memory and drive continue to inspire every step of this journey. For more than a decade, I have worked in the field of mental health, always holding close the dream of starting my own private practice. From the time I began my master's degree in professional counseling, I would say, "One day, I'll open my own practice." But I never acted on that desire.
Milton was a go-getter—when he set his mind to something, he followed through.
He left no room for excuses. After he passed, I often remembered his words:
"Why haven't you did it?" He would ask this whenever someone spoke of
a goal or a dream they hadn't yet pursued.
Four months after his passing, those words finally moved me to act.
I began the process of learning how to open a private practice,
and from that courage, "Milton's Place" came to life.
Milton was generous, compassionate, and loyal. Though quiet and calm by nature, he exemplified strength through self-discipline, determination, and a deeply genuine spirit. In honoring his legacy, Milton’s Place is dedicated to providing a judgment-free space built on compassionate care and the pursuit of healing and personal growth —encouraging everyone to become the best version of themselves.
Our mission is to carry Milton’s spirit forward by creating a safe, compassionate space where healing and growth are possible. At Milton’s Place, we provide evidence-based mental health counseling that meets each person where they are on their journey —helping clients discover within themselves the same strength, clarity, and resilience that Milton embodied, just as I rediscovered the strength to carry this dream forward.
